Questions that I've-

Can you've notes in your book when you take the CPC test?
What is the biggest thing to really look for exam, I heard the guidelines are very important-anything else?

Thanks in advance!

You are allowed working written notes..i.e. "also see", "code also", "see Medicine section", "not with...", "non-Medicare", etc. You are not allowed to write graphs, charts, long paragraphs, and so on. You may not paste, staple or add any additional information into your book, such as anatomy pages, stent charts, and the like. However, they will let you have the pages from CPT with the latest codes updates. That's about it. When they send you your registration information, they'll send you information on what's allowed and what isn't. For the CPC exam you are not allowed any other books than the CPT, ICD_P, HACPCS. No dictionaries or specialty coding books. Certain types of CPT and ICD-9-Cm manauals are not alloed (EZ Coder types).

I suggest you purchase or borrow Physician's Profesional editions of ICD-9 and CPT. They are allowed and have anatomy pages, diagrams, some abbreviations, etc.
