Arthroscopic Debridment
A recent arthroscopic shoulder surgery was coded as follows: 29827, 29826, 29999 (for arthroscopic tenodesis) and 29820 with 726.10, 726.2, 727.09 & 727.62. In the op report, the surgeon indicates that the anterior, posterior and superior frayed labrum was debrided. Considering all of the other work that was done, is that procedure billable with 718.01 . In arthroscopic knee surgery, if you're performing a menisectomy in the lateral compartment you can only code debridement in the medial or patellar compartments. Any help would be appreciated.
