04-05-2006, 8:32 AM Marion Joined on 01-19-2006 PHILADELPHIA PA Posts 6 99148,99149,99150 Our practice is anesthesia/critical care.  Some of our doctors are both intensivists and anesthesiologists.  When an anesthesiologist provides moderate sedation in the PICU as the second physician (the one NOT doing the procedure) is the new 99148 etc code used or do we use the MAC anesthesia code?  We have found contradictory documentation and really nee to know.
