PARS Fracture

Hello fellow Coders,

I'm hoping someone can help me out with this statement:  L5 inferior facet and pars was grossly unstable with an apparent Pars Fracture.

How would you code a Pars Fracture?

Thanks!

Re: PARS Fracture
I would just code this 805.45. fx L5. Pars just means a particular portion of a larger area.

Re: PARS Fracture

Hi, I would code this as 805.4--no fifth digit because the 5th digits are for codes 805.0-805.1 only.

Thanks,

Christina
